Sanctioning Procedures
All schools must receive sanction by School Sport NB to play non-member teams. The sanctioning procedures of SSNB are clearly stated in Article 3 of the SSNB By-Laws.
Application deadlines by member schools for tournaments or exhibition games with teams within the ‘Region’ (Maritime Provinces and Maine) must be submitted at least two (2) weeks prior to the event and at least four (4) weeks prior to the event when involving teams outside the “Region”.

Applications must be submitted using the SSNB online sanction request and should include the start time of the teams first game. A reminder that no exhibition games shall take place during instruction hours between Monday and Thursday as per OR 15.5.

Schools are reminded not to plan exhibition games or tournaments until they have received proper sanction.

School Sport New Brunswick requires that all SSNB teams have their school district’s approval before leaving the Province. Additional Insurance is required when travelling and playing outside of Canada. Proof of such travel insurance for sport accidents must be sent to the HNB and SSNB prior to departure.
